505C: How close to Kinetic Energy and Kinetic Pearl
« on: October 19, 2009, 02:06:42 AM »
Hi Track Guys,

I love my Kinetic Energy, its probably my favorite ball I have ever had.  I love the easy read and smooth continuous reaction I get from it.

Looking at the 505C I see it has the same Shuttle core as the Kinetics and an updated pearl version of the cover used on the KP and KE.

My question is how close are these three balls to each other in terms of reaction? Also would a 505C be a suitable replacement for my KE, seeing as it is a pearl and not a solid like the KE?

Thanks for all replies.

Dave

I'm a fan of the KE as well-got 2 of them.  The three are pretty close, With the 505 being about 4 boards weaker than the KE.  The KE is about 2 boards weaker than the KP.

I have a 505C as well, and even though they share the same core, I do not see the 505 as a suitable replacement for it.  It wasn't made to cover what the KE can.  Yet, the 505 can out perform the KE in very short oil or if the backends are flying.

You may be the better bowler, but my car would blow the doors off of yours.

Hmmmm thanks, thats a pity i thought i might have a ready made replacement there.  Maybe if they release a solid in the 5 line in the future that might be pretty close (hopefully ).
