Hey guys, I've been reading so many positives things about the Desert Heat. Right now I have a gap that needs to be filled in my arsenal. I still need a Medium-Light ball for when the Slash is too much and a True Dry Lane Ball.
So far it's looking like this...
GP2 (Heavy Oil Early/Smooth)
Delta 1 (Medium-Heavy Strong Arc)
Animal (Medium-Heavy Early/Smooth)
Slash (Most Mediums - Benchmark Ball)
Empty Slot (Medium-Light)
Empty Slot (True Dry Lane Ball)
Last night in my family league, the lanes we were bowling on felt like a 2nd shift shot. Starting my ball at 10 at the arrows, I was going past brooklyn by the time it reached the pins. By the 2nd game I was feeding the ball over 22-23 board out to about 10, but the ball was constantly going through the nose. I even started throwing the ball a little faster and spinning it and couldn't get the ball to "Push."
Found out that they won't be oiling on Sunday nights for league so you know what that means. For some reason the "Desert Heat" is calling my name. Since I'm going to be encountering light oil/burnt out heads conditions, do you feel this ball would be a great fit? Thanks!

Ramtart, Was having the same problem. Went with the Heat for med/dry, and so far has worked out great.
I would think the Desert Heat would be more for your real light (Dry) conditions.

Have to agree as I would suggest the Heat and then the Desert for the drier conditions. Those 2 fit the bill really nice in those slots!

Hey J, long time no see, what's happenin'?...yeah, that's what I heard from one of the guys working customer service. I'll have to confirm it though. Classic got a new Kegel Machine last winter and it's been pretty nice lately. We'll see if they decide to run the lanes on sunday. Keep you updated...

Just talk to Pete and see if he can get someone to
oil the lanes for your league. It shouldn't be a problem.

Jon, thanks man...I overheard someone talking in the background about "lanes not being oiled," but probably just heresay. I saw Pete last week and didn't know he was working at Classic again until Art told me. Pretty cool.
Would still like to get my hands on a True Dry Lane ball though *eyeballs Desert Heat possibly*

Hey Ram,
So learning all you have about surface and cores, you really see what you've been missing in creating a good arsenal huh?

Rick, yep dude, hit the nail on the head. And just to think, I was carrying 3 balls last year that were practically identical in reaction. Thanks for all the help man...

GP2 OOB= Heavy
EX 5.0= Med w/Carrydown
GP2 Polished= Med
Heat= Med/Light
Desert Heat= Light
If all else fails I pull out "old faithful" Phenom (highly polished up)

Deset Heat sounds good for you Ram. With your high rev rate
i think this is the ball that will help you when the lanes break down.
Go for it i say!
