Which Track ball would you put in my arsenal?
« on: September 22, 2005, 04:52:56 AM »
I've been looking to try Track for awhile, one of the only major companies I haven't tried.  Take a look at my current arsenal, and put a single Track in there.  I'm have low revs and medium speed, and I like to play the Track area or outside, though I can swing it a little if necessary.  Here's what I have now.

Big Deal
V2 Power
Uturn Pearl
Sling Blade
Spare Ball

I'd like something that helps me with the over/under I sometimes encounter, or that helps me with my breakpoint on the THS which I sometimes seem to lose.  Thanks!  Also, if any of you are interested in the Big Deal, it's a single drill 15 with the thumb moved just once (nearly the same spot) a weight hole and about 15 games.

1. Something to smooth out your reaction (get rid of over/under) or minimize it.
2. likes to play track area, which has a tendency to change quickly from so many players playing there

You have a particle-Big
Low RG STRONG reactive-V2
and 2 pearls

Sounds like a Slash would do you good. Its a great benchmark ball, covers many conditions, is not over/under, it gives you a consistant roll that lets you read the lanes....if the Slash doesn't get up, you know you need something more aggressive and vice versa as well.

Its not too hard on the pocketbook either!

From what I have heard, the Slash would be a good choice.  I love my Freak-A-Zoid as well, it gives me a easy read on the lanes.  It's always the 1st ball out.

The Slash is a great choice but let me add the Arsenal Aggressive too as an option.  One of Track's best cover IMHO.  The PEAK particle allows the ball to read and blend out over/unders but still recover and hit like resin.  I have had one since February (I have 2).  It's the longest ball I've had since's joining Track and it still gets plenty of play.

I've actually strongly considered the Slash for awhile.  I'm glad to hear your suggestions.  I want something I can take out of the bag first and rely on, as I don't have a benchmark ball right now.  I kind of start from the top and work my way down.  I'm still having problems with the Big Deal, I just think it doesn't match up to my game.  I just can't seem to get a good release or roll with the ball.  I can plainly see that when it works, it's huge, but getting it to work has been a problem.    Maybe I'll see if I can trade it for a Slash.

I am jumping on the boat of suggesting the Arsenal Aggressive as well. You will be suprised at how much backend it will actually give you and without question it is going to give you a different look on the lane than what you currently have. It will help solve O/U issues, with its OOB finish it does not overreact off of the dry and does not skate too far on oil.
