A little birdy told me that "The Machine" will be the next release
from Track.

the "MACHINE" is not scheduled for release until mid october.
The Rule Delta 1 will be the next great release.

Rev is right, the Delta 1 is next, and has all the makes of being a great ball. Don't forget or overlook this ball, or the 5.0, GP2, or the rest of the current line. Very good all around stuff!

You guys have to remember that the epoxy cover, as explained by a reliable source (**cough, cough** Columbias chemist), will have the same attributes in oil as a particle ball but not burn up in the drier conditions as everyone experiences all to often.

Is there a particular reason why only those with lots of hand should be competitive on very heavy oil conditions?  Does lack of hand make one less of a bowler?  Does having more hand make one MORE of a bowler?  Seems like half of the posts here whine about how people stand left and spray the lane with tons of revs.  

Now it's not ok to NOT do that?  Is there a particular amount of revs that are acceptable to have?  Or is score in your center not calculated based on the NUMBER OF PINS KNOCKED DOWN?  If a low-rev bowler knocks down ten pins, does it count differently than if an "acceptable-revs" player knocks down ten?

I have less hand and I'm not offended. I still have enough hand to be tweener though. All D said was that strokers can play deep baby! Thats it!

The Machine will be a monster but it is not nearly as strong they can make it. You won't see the full potential of Epoxy for a while. I will like the smoothness of it off of the dry boards but it will take me out of the shot a lot of the times because of my hand.

They should make it as strong as they possibly can on a select few batches just to see what it does. Put down like 100 units+ of oil gutter to gutter, 60 feet. lol.

no one has EVER said, or implied that this ball (any of them for that matter,...amf, columbia, track) will be ANGULAR......

amf rep said the epoxy cover is super smooth....but can cut thru a lot of oil...

i remember hearing something like ....a control ball for heavier patterns

I apologize if I took it the wrong way.  But there have been many, many posts about how technology replaces skill and fluffers are often the target of those posts.  Fluffers have no less skill, in general.  Just less hand.

This is what I was told about the Epoxy cover direct from a Columbia staffer that has his EPT X1:

"The Epoxy is like a Blue Hammer with non-stop hook once it makes it move.  I couldn't roll this out if I tried.  I actually saw the ball finish on the left side of the 8 pin while driving through the pocket."

....EEK!

I can't imagine this cover on any type of low R.G. core.  This technology might be ahead of its time.

In my shop, I can sell anything with hook, hook and more hook.
Players with fewer revs will buy them all day.

For the twisters, I can sell anything that is smooth, smoother and
smoothest.

It's a just a matter of perspective as to which players are best.

Strokers and tweeners can beat the pocket to death on many conditions.
Give twisters some area at the breakpoint and the light carry shot and
they'll kill you.

I don't view either as being any more talented.  Their games simply match
up differently to the conditions.  But, ball variety keeps all of them
competitive!!!

I dont think that statement is completely true. A THS will allow anyone to get to the hole as long as you hit the dry on the outside. So, it doesnt matter if your cranking it over 4th arrow, or stroking it up 10, as long as you can get to the dry, you can score. I dont see the crankers scoring higher than anyone else. In fact, if you take the top 10 averages in my house, only one of them is a cranker. And that is taking into consideration that since they put down the new synthetics, the THS has been a cake shot. I mean real easy!! I am averaging over 215 on the new synthetics since they put them in!! Beleive me, I dont think I am a 215 average bowler yet.
