Has Track come up with anything comparable to these two balls? Thanks
-
You won't see anything like these from Track. At least not yet and the chance of it happening is ver low. Track is a high performance only company that is driven by core technology. So I would say not look for anything like the DH or SPPEX to come out anytime in the near to distant future.

This is truly sad. Thanks for the info.

Sccot,
The Solution Power Pearl EX WAS a high performance ball. It was not a high oil ball. Track seems to be making balls for the tour, not for the league bowler OR for the fluffer and not for the average rev guy.
If I recall, and my memory is not to bad yet, Track reps posted an idea similar to this a couple of years ago here on Ballreviews. Then shortly thereafter they came out with balls for the rest of us.
Seriously, now, I suspect it's just a matter of making sure they're still in the running, so to speak, with the other companies, in sales.

The Solution Power Plus EX was not marketed as a high performance bowling ball. When it was released it was placed in the Classic performance line. This was tracks Mid-Performance line. Track at that time had three performance lines. It high performance asymetrical line. Then its symetrical high performance line with the arsenals. The last was its classic or mid performance line that had the Blue Heat. Solutions and DH in it. This is where it was marketed at. High performance is dictated by what the company places it at. Then the amount at which it can be sold for that people would not blink about paying. I had both Solutions. They were great, yet they were not something I would place in the same price point as a MM or PM. I wouldn't even place them with the Temper.

So essentially what your saying is Track is only interested in balls that hook a lot?

No track is interested in making equipment that is driven by new and inovative cores. This is what Track was always about, and this is what they will continue to do. If they were interrested in only making balls that hook, then they would need to make a ball that out hooks the Rule GP2. No ball out hooks that thing, When you had the layout right and the surface right you had a hook monster

Get an ebonite clash or bash. Both are like the soulutions. Pretty weak but works well on a house shot. I love my bash, just got a clash yesterday that I will be trying tonight.

That is a basic level of major disagreement with us.

Just because it does not handle as much oil is not a valid reason to DECLARE it to be inferior to the Machines. That is the only factor in which they differ. Maybe you're thinking because they are not asymmetric? In which case I would also disagree.
These are moot points, not really arguable, because the basis for our discussion has no common ground.
I still maintain it was a high performance ball.

Not once did I say the solutions couldn't work on as much oil as a machine. They were not marketed as high performance. They were marketed as classic performance. Befor they renamed that like it was call the mid performance line.
Last year I killed the majority of what I bowled on with the solutions. The fact is as I have been stated. Track was and is a core driven company. The solutions were old cores on older covers that were being placed at a lower price point because they were not the newest and best stuff. This is why they were marketed as mid perfomance equipment. Not because they didn't work on oil. I thought and still thing the solid SPP worked better on oil then the PM.
The same is true with the blackwidows. The core in that ball is the same core from the big blue and big blue pearl. They changed the cover droped its price point. Same with the Ebonite and its gold level line with the raid. It has the old I belive TPC or Instinct cores with slightly older covers. That they feel are slighty out of date that they can get top dollor price for the high level performance the balls give because they are not as much of a performance ball as the true high end stuff.

You mention newest and best stuff. But then you state you killed with the Solutions. I also kill with them and they matchup well with my style. I would stick with newest and priciest rather than best. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Thanks for the info and all.

Agent series from storm or vendetta line from now Defunct Dynothane. Avalanche from brunswick might be in about same order. Lightbulb or extended cylinder bulb core. Has worked for many companies across many cover lines.
