I think the Animal is better on oil than either. That is, with the same surface prep. The Animal dosent cover a ton of boards but, it eats through some serious oil! I did the comparision with all 3 scuffed with a green scotch brite pad. Me and Brooklynslop did this kind of comparision last Tuesday actually! The Animal was the clear winner thorugh the soup! There were actually 3 GP's, pin above ring, MB right of thumb, Pin beside ring, MB left of thumb, and I dont remember the third. The Delta was pin under ring, MB on VAL. If I remember correclty the Animal was pin under ring or bridge with the MB right of thumb.

A lot of people that were using the animals when they forst came out were seeing the ball burn up a lot because they weren't using it on heavy enough oil.  I have owned 6 animals.  There are a couple fo things common about all of the ones I owned.  Even with different layouts this ball flared a lot.  For me this ball would flare very hard in the mid-lane all the way through the pins.  HIT!  I can't believe how hard this ball hits compared to the rest.

The Animal is just as early as the GP2....but it does not have as much backend. Sanded down the Animal is all most should need on heavier shots. The coverstock on the Animal has the largest particles produced by basf.....so that helps get early traction.
