Delta 1 vs. Arsenal Reactive

Ok, I am looking to pick up one of these balls to add to my arsenal but cant decide which one will suit me better. Anyone thrown both yet?? How do they compare?? I see that the Delta 1 has a higher RG 2.53 vs. 2.45, both have the same differential at .50 and the same flare potential at 6.5. The biggest differences I do see are the asymmetrical vs. symmetrical cores and the coverstocks. Given all variables are the same, how would each ball compare to the other? Your help is greatly appreciated.

In my opinion, I have both of mine drilled the same (pin under ring, cg in palm) and the reaction I have seen so far is the Reactive is a little sooner and the Delta has a more pronounced backend. The hit with both of these balls is phenominal, but I have preferred the Delta simply as it fits my game better with more backend on what I have thrown them on so far.

Clint,

Do you feel they both cover the same conditions and are equal in oil handling capabilities or is one stronger than the other?

In my opinion, they both cover the same amount of oil, but just in a different way. If you are looking for more up front, then I would go with the Reactive as it is sooner with a smoother backend.. If you are looking for more on the back, I would say go with the Delta as the Goo LS cover and higher Rg will get it down the lane better and save some extra for the back.

Hey Rock,

For me, the Delta is stronger and can handle more oil.  As Ramtart stated in his mini, Ramtart and I both had the Delta hooking thru and recovering strongly in pretty heavy oil so long as there was some friction on the back.  My Reactive is drilled a little more for length but still cannot eat thru the same concentration of oil from what I see the Delta can handle.  So long as there's some free hook, look out, the Delta is pretty strong.

Excaliber and I also pulled out our Delta's in Cincy and they just plain rolled out but his Reactive was useable to a point.  Still to dry for it but it didn't grab and roll out like the Delta did.  The lanes were pretty dry thru the heads and mids.  Hope this helps bud.....

Yeah, that does help. Now I guess the conclusion would be that if I add a Delta to my arsenal right under my GP2, then I wont need an Arsenal Reactive because my Blue Heat should be plenty strong in that slot. Does that sound about right to you guys?

Yes, it does. with my stuff, the Reactive is so close to the Delta for me, there is almost no difference in board coverage, but just the way they differ in doing so. However, the only Delta I have drilled has the mass bias left of the thumb, so that could be a reason why it is not as strong as Rick's and others
