Drilled identical to my first (pin by ring, mass bias stacked, cg swung toward PAP) extra hole on PAP...the new one has the cg swung a little further as it was of of line with the pin and mass bias more. I hit the new one with LOTS of Delayed Reaction....wanted to get a shiny surface on the ball to give me a go to ball when the first Robo is starting up too early. The new Robo gets down the lane very well, and has a big move on the backend. It ended up being similar overall to the first one (factory surface, but about 30 games), but this was on the broken down THS behind a ladies league.
I also pulled out my Arsenal Reactive and Heat Blast. I am finding out from continued use the Robo and Arsenal Reactive compliment each other very well, more so than I expected. When the original Robo starts up a hair early, the reactive cover on the Reactive helps it get through that spot better and gets me to the pocket. The polished Robo goes longer than the Reactive, but has a stronger move on the backend. Once again, the shot I was on last night did not give me enough confidence to be able to say 100% what the difference will be on my Classic League shot.
As for the Heat Blast, it is longer and smoother than the polished Robo. The Heat Blast is a ball that many of you are going to end up having, but for the masses, will not have as it is buried in the Classic Performance line when everyone wants the latest and greatest...let me tell you, this ball reads the lane terrific and is a great go to ball when the other 3 balls I was using last night all started checking up too early....even the polished Robo.
