I am going to Detroit to bowl a tournament where there is usually a lot of oil, long Christmas tree pattern, a block shot. I would like a recommendation on how to drill the Phenom Unleased for this condition. I don't have a profile but I track on the med/low side' speed about 16 and med ium revs (300 or so)

Hey Nic
I just drilled up an unleashed last weekend for a tournament with really long flat oil and it ended up working great with me making the cut. The drilling i used was witht he pin 4" from my pap and the mass bias on my VAL. For me this drilling picked up early but still had some left on the back. Hope that helps
good luck

Thank you Fatjoe. The ball won't roll out too early or is that a condition specific drilling?

For me its more of a condition specific drilling but when i first drilled it up the center i was at had a regular house shot out and it revved up early but still finished i thought it might have rolled out but it didnt at least on that shot. I think this is a great tournament ball tho it really turned peoples heads wondering what ball it was. Also this ball was laid of for me by del warren at a track/morich seminar but i drilled it up back at home. if you want to know more let me know

Fatjoe,
I attended one of Del Warren's/Mo Pinel's seminar but that was last year. If you have the time I would like to know more. I thought of drilling the ball pin 4 inches and the MB between the thumb and the VAL. Any thoughts?

I track very high but i was thinking with a lower track you d be better off with something like you had said with the mb in the in the more angular position between the thumb and val would retain the energy better for you. Come to think of it Mo was saying that for lower trackers you want to keep the mb in what they called position 3 which was between the thumb and val i just checked my notes if you want to know more just let me know but i think that you should go with what you said pin 4" and mb between your thumb and VAL

I'm off to drill it Fatjoe. Thank you for the info and your time.

keep the pin below the fingers to avoid unnecessary length...sorry to interupt

but performs well enough to be one!

Fatjoe, My track is also high and inverted and I was wondering if you had the pin above, below or beside your fingers? I will be drilling mine tonight. I have had much success with my Freak Out and Super Freak so I will probably drill it just like those. Thanks for the help.

the pin is below and to the right of my fingers i was scared i would hit the fingers but del said that with these cores it moves the bowtie up 2-3 inches so i would put the pin under your fingers.
Nic
let me know what kind of reaction you get and how you like it
