Ok, Since I'm a Track user and have gotten to know a lot of you on here I'm posing this question to you all. What ball do you use for light/dry lanes? Track really doesn't have a ball to fit this category. My specs are in profile
Considering: Pure Hammer, Crisis Pearl, Visionary Slate Blue Gargoyle
Thanks,
Bob

what about the dry heat from track isnt that a dry lane ball

Many would disagree, but I like the Hexplosion on dry. With a slight coverstock adjustment it clears the heads easily with a smooth backend reaction. When I have to get too deep with everything else I am usually able to move 10 boards right and square up with the Hexplosion.

I would stay away from the pure hammer because that thing can take off, don't know much about Dyno-thane, but I would go with something in the sonic series of Roto-Grip maybe a Sonic X solid or a Sonic Boom.

Thanks, Guys. i may wait for the Desert Heat. Was also looking at Red Pearl Urethane Hammer and Sonic series (as someone has mentioned)

Best desert lane condition ball with someone that has alot of hand is the Big Hit by storm by far if need something less that that you got to go to plastic.

I have a few hammers and know how to nail the pocket with them!
-
i still disagree with the hexplosion being a light oil ball. I don't have a ton of revs or anything and mine moves just fine...

the pire hammer wouldne be good, but the sling blade, with a weaker drilling would do the trick perfictly. That is what 2 of my buddies use and we play late at night with lanes that were played on by 2 shifts, and the lanes breakdown after the second game of the first shift. The heads are dry as a desert, but it clears them and then has a mice arky reaction on he dry

I have an awesome alternative to all those already mentioned. Drill yourself a Tornado Warning Pearl. I have drilled many of these the past couple months and seen some amazing results. Even when the lanes are toast, the TW does not get "jerky" off the dry. Its transition of the dry is still really smooth. It is a tame resin cover with a pancake block (same as a plastic ball). Give that a shot when the lanes become toast.

As always my answer here is go old school
Finding all those Coral Tritons, Code Red SE's etc is the hard part
ps
my personal dry solution atm is a code red se pin 1 1/2 from pap cg 3/ 1/2 from pap (a modified 1.30 drill is another way of looking at it) creates hold when the lane gives you next to none

I would have to say either the Desert if you can wait or the Dry Heat right now. However, I would also say the Hexplosion is good for me on the dry as well as Ex says!

The Dry Heat is the best thing besides polished urethane, in my opinion.
