Arsenal Angular.
« on: March 31, 2007, 02:31:54 AM »

Can anyone here help me out, I need to give my Angular a wash and brush up, the ball is in OOB surface condition but has started to get tracked up a little, what is the best way to get it back to it's origional condition or as close as, cos the website doesn't give the covers grit finish all it says is polished with clean and sheen.
Thanks.

It means it's polished with Clean and Sheen compound. C/S is a 1000 grit compound.

Go through all the resurfacing steps to remove the track wear, then polish the ball with clean and sheen to finish

I don't need the newest, The Track products made in Texas over the last few years are phenominal. I'm sure they will serve me well for years to come.

To add to the above Clean N Sheen is a compound with a diminishing abrasive in it. In other words the longer you use Clean N Sheen the finer it will get and you can end with a compound that is much higher in grit. In my experience the OOB surface of most of their releases can best be replicated by using a new gray scotchbrite pad as your base and then use Clean N Sheen with moderate pressure for 15 seconds on each side.

If your looking to get the oil out i recommend a hot water bath in a bucket in your bath tub. That should help with the oil and then you can go from there. That way you haven't done anything to the coverstock...

I took my Inertia and baked it a 175 for two hours then gave it a hot water bath. Then baked it one more hour and hot soapy bath again and it's like new.

Thanks guys, I can get it sorted now, the problem is not that the ball is oil soaked just that my centre is old wood ( well looked after ) and the track area is getting roughed up a bit and I want to sort it before it gets too bad.
