A rather abstract thought.
With an asymmetrical/enhanced MB ball that has a high intermediate differential would this give you the most hook potential from the ball:
With lines drawn from the GC to PAP and a perpendicular line intersecting that line at 3 3/8" from PAP. Would placing the Pin and MB at equal distances from PAP on that perpendicular line give you the most hook potential from the ball.
I was wondering this because asymmetrical balls retain much more flare and hook potential at longer pin distances than non enhanced MB balls.
I realise that the MB is only an influence but the MB diff on some balls is high enough to make quite the emphasis on roll/reaction.

It will definately give you the most hook potential IN OIL. The thing that you have to look at is where your (or the person getting the ball drilled) wants the ball to hook....OR needs the ball to hook. Rev challenged bowlers need the ball to start up sooner...those with massive revs will not need the ball to start up quiet as soon.
The stronger the intermediate diff the more the MB has an affect on reaction...and placement needs to be more accurate for desired reactions.

Very true and good point Sean. Having a strong or influential mass bias allows us to help a bowler get a weight block to turn over at a specific time and point on the lane. It's almost like having a remote control on the core as to when we want to turn it "on or off".
