How does the EQ2 compare to a PPEX and/or a Hex. Thanks in advance.

Care to repeat them? I'm probably going to drill an eq2...i have a desert and a pearl solution. Is it a little stronger on the back?
-
No Problem.
I think that the EQ2 is a bit longer with a more abrupt move off of the dry than the PPEX. The PPEX reads the lanes a little sooner.....and is not quite as sensative to oil as the EQ^2.
With identical layouts the Solution PPEX is stronger IMO. HOWEVER if the backends are "screaming" then you could have to stand deeper with the EQ^2.
I hope this info helps.

I know the flare potential is less on this ball than the first equation. Would you say this ball would be comparable to a red pulse for med-dry house conditions?
-
I think it would be perfect for med/light house patterns....but it would give a totally different look than a red pulse would. The Pulse was very smooth reacting....the EQ^2 is strong at the break.

Hmmm, if you brought the cover down to 1000 abralon, do you think you would see a noticeable difference at the breakpoint?
-
yes but ofcourse that would make it roll much sooner

Thanks for answering my questions, I suppose I will wait until I see a couple on the lanes before I drill one.
-
Carl, thanks again for your valuable information. I had a Hex a few years ago & it was very effective when the conditions were right. Your thoughts????

Gary,
The Hex is a bad ball for me to post about. I really liked the ball, but it was far too strong for me to say that I would use it on med/light conditions, or place it where you were wanting to.

i think i will love mine. it is the first ball drilled pin below ring finger that appears to work well for me. pins stay low like the ebonite optyx formula one that i had. granted i know this will not make a great ball review i am just commenting.
