Equation vs. Xception

I have an Xception drilled pin above ring and mass bias right of thumb (strong).  It is polished and I use it on my Fri. league where backends are clean.  In general could anyone who has bowled w/both tell me what differences to expect if I had an Equation drilled the same way.

HEY TRACK!

I believe the X-Ception with its asymmetrical core will start sooner in the heads while the Equation will get more length and more pop on the backend. The Equation has no trouble going left once it sniffs the dry. These two pieces from Track are two of my favorites to date! Hope this helps some! God Bless You All and have a great week!

I agree with the fact the Xception will start earlier due to the asymmetrical core.  Sounds close to a drilling I have as well.  My Equation is drilled the same as my Xception.  My Equation gets about 5-8 feet down the lane longer.  The ceramic nugget in the Equation makes the ball turn left and crush the pins.  It's nice to be able to just grab another ball and stay where you've been playing when the Xception starts to read a lot earlier than when the night started.

Can anyone recommend which of Tracks polishes would give the Xception max length with max friction on dry?  Also, how high up with the grit should I sand it before polishing?  I don't want to tame the back end.

Wow... My Xception which I have had for just a couple weeks ignores the midlane almost completely and then looks like someone kicked it left when it touches the backend. It's alot of fun to play with. I just can't imagine a ball that would read later this thing scares the bejesus out of me that its never gonna turn the corner.

I agree with Mike.  The xception starts up alot sooner the Equation snaps alot harder on the backend. Personally the Xception is probably one of my all time least favorite balls.  Its not that it was a bad ball, but for me (and 3 of my other friends.) it was very condition specific and had no versatility.  The Xception 5.0 personally was alot better ball out of the 2. Equation I just got and have put maybe 6 games on.  I have yet to make up my mind on the Equation yet. Anyways, if you want to extend the length on the xception I would try a couple coats of delayed reaction.

Could be you're using it on too much oil for the cover + drill + your release ...

Mine needed true medium oil before it would get reasonable length. Then it would make a left turn. Anything less than true medium and it would hook early.

3 out of 4 of my leagues is at a center with a long pattern with sloppy back ends, which is why I dont use my Xception very much. I just wanted to use my Xception at another league where skid snap balls would work great.  I want an equation If I can't get a similar reaction with my Xception.  I appreciate the comparisons, and I didn't know the Xception started up so much earlier than the equation.

I have never thrown the Xception, but I do have the Equation, and it is one hell of a ball. Shined up it can be on the drier conditions (as I played tonight with my dad) which really owned, and sanded for the Heavy stuff, I'm talking I crossed about 18 boards on a flood. So you can see this ball is very versatile..
