Equation2 Results
« on: December 28, 2006, 03:52:22 PM »
Due to the traffic on the other thread I figured I would start another one on this one.

I put a very similiar layout on this ball that I had on the original. It is cleaner through the front of the lane, a tad less in the midlane with about a foot or so overall more length than the original. The backend reaction is very comparable with IMO the Equation2 having a tad bit more movement off of friction.

So its placement would be below the original Equation. Another ball to compare it to is the Heat. It is under the Heat as well. The good thing about this ball is that it has enough recovery in the backends to allow the bowler to move inside when the track area starts to go....but still make it back to the hole.

HEY CARL!

I was wanting to ask you the other night...what is it about the Equation^2 that you feel Track is trying to accomplish here? God Bless You and have a great week!

I think that Track was trying to find a piece for under the Equation. In the current line there is nothing that fits that slot, and the Equation2 does just that.

equation 2 is ALOT smoother. Not as much length, backend, or overall hook as the equation. control ball is what i've seen out of it. pretty close to a pearl/prettier heat blast!

So pretty much here guys we are stating that it is a great fit under the original Equation yet more aggressive than the Heat Blast...right? God Bless You All and have a great week!

Thats what I'm wondering.  I have a Heat Blast and it basically goes right under my Equation.  How would you guys compare the Heat Blast to the Eqn2?

my heat blast out flips my equation 2.... probably the layout, pin is over the middle finger on the blast, under the ring on the 2.

I saw the Blast as being much more "roll type" ball and not very skid flip.

The Equation2 did awesome at a house with burned out guardian....so that should tell you the length it has....and it still had good backend on the sport pattern.

Carl is right it made it clean through the heads with the guardian. I resorted to using my normal xception because I just couldnt get anything to hold pocket. I think next week I am going to have to bring my desert. (MAN I HATE GUARDIAN!)

carl, i noticed you said the equation2 was below the heat.  would you say  the original equation is below it also?  i was throwing the heat until a couple months ago when i got the equation to hopefully replace it.  i didn't really see a strong backend reaction like i thought i would but i figured maybe they were putting down a little heavier oil shot.  monday night after throwing the eq the first 2 games i went and got my old heat out and noticed quite a difference.  they got similar length but the heat made a much harder move to the pocket.  i was just wondering if i was crazy and if not how can i alter the surface of the eq to get it to react with my heat?

Do you happen to know what the layout differences are between the Heat and Equation?

I saw the original Equation stronger than the Heat. It read the lane a tad sooner but had much much more backend than the Heat did.

the equation is drilled #2(leverage) on track's drilling sheet.  the heat doesnt match any of those on the sheet.  the label is in my palm as well as the pin but the label's not straight up and down its angled a little.  if that makes any sense.

The layout that you have on the Equation is probably the difference....or rather the reason that you are seeing more "pop" out of the Heat. The Equation's layout is much sooner reving....thus causing it to not be as strong on the backend.
