FWIW, for my 2 cents,
compared to some of the other supposedly technical company-specific forums on  ballreviews.com, the Track technical people, including, at minimum, Excaliber, tenpinspro and Clint Daley, are as good as you're going to see here at ballreviews or anywhere.

They tell you what Track balls will be good for you (DEPENDING on how good the information is that you give them), and how to drill it and to surface modify it, if necessary, for your release and your oil pattern. AND they do it [b[/b]]politely, with almost infinite patience AND without talking down to anyone.

If you ask any more than that of any human being, it had better be your mother!

(Added on re-edit: this is the only forum where I will only offer my personal experiences with Track balls. These guys cover all other bases. I barely need to offer that, but sometimes I can squeeze a word in edgewise. )

Being Product Specialists, they are on the road 20 days out of the month. They post when they can get a break.

That was exactly my point. Track has two of the best people there are, and they are "on duty" every day where as Brunswick doesn't. And this great customer service also helps sell balls for Track.

I recently bought a GP2 and it is one of the best balls I have ever had in my bag. After vowing to never buy another Track ball approx. 7 years ago, give or take a year, I would have never bought this one had it not been for them and now, thanks to tenpinspro and EXCALIBER I can't wait to get my next Track ball. That is the service and help that Brunswick doesn't have on this site nor do Ebonite, Storm, Columbia, AMF, and etc. Just like an automobile, you are going to go where the best service is and here it is Track.

bartender,

I do not know if us being here helps sales at all. I will say this though, LONG before I was ever on staff I was here doing the same thing that I do now. I have been in the Track Forum for quite some time total (including usernames that I forgot**L**), probably around 4-5 yrs.

Speaking on the Excellence of the Track forum, where has Clint been?  Haven't heard from him for over a week.

I also owe a big thank-you to EX, Rick, and Clint for advice I received from them in mid-December when I was looking to drill an Xception...and I should thank them for the many postings I've read from them before and after mid-December!!

Based on their recommendations, I drilled an Xception (pin 2" above midline, 4" pin and 6" MB under thumb) which has found a permanent spot in my tournament arsenal.  Great carry...good length through choppy heads, strong arc at breakpoint.

As an extension to what has been previously posted....because of the swift and courteous response I got from these guys, I also decided to drill a Rule to fit in just above the Xception.  Because of the greatness of the Xception, Rule, and a CT that I had previous to those, I attended a Track seminar and picked up a Slash and a Rule GP2, which I have yet to drill.  Since I manage a bowling center, and I'm a PBA member, when customers see me recommend a ball, they tend to take my advice on it.  Were it not for the great response that these guys gave me, I would have been less likely to pursue Track as my primary company (after dumping an unnamed company), and I would have been less likely to recommend Track's equipment to the customers at my center.

Track has a valuable asset in their version of the "Big Three"!  (except I hear that Rick's not so big...)

I only own one Track ball (Animal), but everyone on this forum was extremely helpful and knowledgeable.  The staffers aren't afraid to compare/contrast equipment from other companies and give fair evaluations.  No egos here!

*climbs up to the keyboard*  That ain't funny man...

Sincerely, thank you guys.  The "Crew" here tries to offer and share as much info as possible with equipment/bowling experience which can help make us all better bowlers and improve as much as we can.  I actually have a lot of respect for anyone (staff or not) that tries to come out here and share their knowledge and information to help better their fellow bowler.  That's what I thought this site was for....

Charlest, I want to thank you personally because a message like this coming from one of the "MOST" respected members on this site, it means a lot.  So, thank you sir...so as promised, I'll hand wash and wax your car by this weekend...

I would like to thank Rick and Ex too. I received some great advice about my Rule layout and surface prep. This ball really works for me on the condition I explained to these guys awhile back. I can't thank them enough. I'm in a "new" area now and noone really uses Track, until they see me tearin' it up! In 5 weeks have now seen 3 Rules in my leagues!?! Go figure.

Anyways...Thanks Guys!!!!

DITTO!!

EXCALIBER and Tenpinspro,...along w/ Clint do a great job!

ON EDIT: I think Track and ...well...for a small company, Roto-Grip have the best response times for tech/info questions ( a little bias??...sure why not!)
