Back on Track!
« on: March 30, 2006, 10:04:33 PM »
No pun intended by the title, just wanted to share my excitement and relief with you all.

I had been struggling the past few weeks in league. Havent shot better than 558 in that time. My low series was a 464! Ouch. In any case, I went out on Wednesday night to bowl with a few friends. I was very relaxed and just having a good time. I finally felt like I was throwing the ball well. Well after a nice, thrapeutic night of practicing with friends. I came out last night and went 254 out of the gates. Slowed down a bit because my Delta 1 was starting to jump a bit on me. I was on a 240+ pace, then I left a split in the 7th and spared out to go 198. Started game 3 with the Delta after making an adjustment and the ball didnt react the way I had hoped, so I switched to my FAZ. Got lined up and went 216. My series was 668. Not a bad night for me at all. Sad part is there was a guy on the lanes next to mine who shot 205, 300 his first two and only went 669 for the night. One pin better than my series! Yikes!! Anyway, I am glad that I was able to relax and throw the ball better and my scores obviously reflected that.

BTW, the Rule Delta 1 is becoming my favorite ball. Is there a Track ball that hits as hard as this one? I dont think so! This ball is insane!!

Relaxing is the key....when your mind is elsewhere or thinking about too much stuff as we talked about, its tough to perform on the lanes....great job for figuring yourself out and doing what you needed!

Ryan,

Congrats bro! Glad to see the game has come back! My home house, I have struggled lately the last two weeks in league...545 and 492 , haven't shot below 500 in about 2 years until two weeks ago..anyways, its all apart of the territory...I haven't been bowling great the last few weeks..my All-Star league I've put together some small 600+ series, but nothing too special..hopefully the scores are going to start coming because we have the roll off in my All-Star league in a few weeks and its for $5000 1st Place prize...gotta start praying very hard for the Lord to allow my team the "W". I wouldn't mind have my 1/3 of that in the bank at that point!! God Bless You All and have a great week!

Great way to get back on Track Ryan with the Rule Delta 1. I've seen that ball perform very well on our THS from a few righties that happen to throw it (they don't have many Track balls in their bag). Relaxing does seem to be the key for scoring well. My scores have been up since my stress level has gone down.

I think there is a ball that hits just as hard and
that is the Arsenal Reactive. I thought my Animal
Untamed hit hard, well the Reactive makes the Untamed
look like a marshmallow.

Sometimes I think the Delta One hits too hard.  I swear I leave more solid 8 pins with that ball than any other piece of equipment that I own. Yet I still love the ball and would highly recommend it to any one.
