Well, after quite a long season filled with tougher conditions (lots of wet/dry battles on the left) as well as some personal ordeals to go through (adding a second daughter to our family, the passing of my mother a couple of weeks ago)it was nice to get back on my game during league. Had to use three different Track pieces and play 2 different lines over the course of the night, but I managed to put up my high set of the year in this house. Started 15-5 with the RoboRule for game one, moved outside to the gutter and played a speed shot with less hand for games two (Havoc, recently resurfaced and put at 1000 abralon) and game three (new Solution Power Plus Ex, drilled up last week and first chance to use in a league or tournament play).

Scores were 221 (4-6-7 split in the 11th), 238 (clean) and 257 (5-10 split to start game three) for a 716 series.

Here's hoping that things will keep improving with 7 weeks left in my season.

"The Revolution" has begun!!!

Thanks everyone for the support. I guess I should clarify that our second daughter is 8 years old and we have her through the miracle of adoption. My first daughter is also adopted, she's 12 and has been with us for 3 years. Sometimes it feels like child birth all over again when you are dealing with adoption, as the newer child has to get used to a new family environment all over again.

My mom was given 10 more months than all the doctors expected. She had two surgeries on her lungs in May and when she developed pnuemonia last January, we knew that it could be tough for her to fight off. I do feel that through this our whole family has come together and become stronger as a result.

Here's hoping for even better bowling to finish the season.
