mine works very well on med-heavy but on longer patterns it hits to late.more surface did'nt work well and neither did finer grits.the ball works very well oob surface, length with a very hard flip/arc on the end.mine is drilled pin under 41/2x 45 degree.

I kept mine in box surface for awhile, worked great on most medium-heavy oil conditions, especially on the fresh. When the head oil pushes a bit, carrydown can be a tricky proposition with the ball. I just adjusted the surface to 500 grit as well for the nights when I need to get some more friction generated, we'll see how that goes. Good luck with the ball and let us know how it works out.

Still trying to find the condition for mine! Drilled 5.5x3.5 pin down. Originally i had this ball 6.5x2.5 and it wasn't too bad on some shots, but then i drilled it again and dont seem to like it as much. The smooth surface gave it some good length for me and the backend was nice when other flip balls couldnt grab in the oil...
