Finally had these balls drilled, very happy (WITH PICS)
« on: November 15, 2005, 03:55:27 AM »
Had some of my Track arsenal drilled yesterday.

Delta 1 - pin over ring finger, cg and MB stacked, slighly polished.

Arsenal reactive (from Jkiser01) - pin over and slighlty right of ring, cg under the ring finger, polished.

Slash - 1:30 drilling (pin to the right of ring, cg in the center of my grip), box condition

Desert Heat - pin under ring finger, Cg stacked under pin, box condition.

I only bowled a few games with them, to get a feel of the thumbs, Delta hits like a truck, Reactive goes long and flips hard, Slash is in the middle, strong arc, and the Desert, goes the longest with a nice arc. A nice start to my new arsenal. Will give more details as I use them more.

Bud this arsenal looks great.  Sometime in the future the only gap that I might see is between the desert and the slash.  This all depends on your style and the conditions you see.  Other than that this is an arsenal I feel is great.

Buckwild, looks good! I also agree with Chitown. Your arsenal looks great with a good amount of separation. If I were to suggest a ball in between the Slash and Desert Heat it would be either the Heat Remake or the Solution PP EX.

If you don't feel like buying another ball right now, you can make a surface adjustment on the Slash and tame it down a bit!

Best of luck,

I have the Heat remake. Also the Arsenals (Aggressive and Angular)and the GP2, undrilled. My driller and coach wants me to start off with the first four, then use these to fill the gaps. By the end of the year, everything should be in place.

Looks good Buck.  I'd also say to punch that Heat or polish the Slash up some to help fill that gap.  Good job buddy, keep us posted.

Thanks, Clint. BTW Happy B'day.

Actually, the great bowling hasn't started yet. I just started practicing last weekend after recovering from knee surgery. I hope to be ready when I rejoin my league (12/5).

I will try to get the Heat punched next week when my coach and ball driller gets back from the current tour stop (good luck, Mike!). From what you guys see in my arsenal, what layout would you suggest?

I would drill your heat exactly like your desert heat.  What ever you do don't drill it weaker than the desert.  You could also drill it like the slash.  This will give you good separation between the two.

With that driiling for the Heat, will I get more skid/flip than the Desert?

Chewie is right with his description....Heat is more on the back than the Desert...Desert is VERY even...
