Hi Trackers!
I am going to drill my Machine I have been sitting here in my closet for around 11 months. Having asked this "what drilling" question some time ago I will now ask again just to see if there are more oppinions out there.
The problem is... all my equipment was drilled by "rough estimations on comparison with former balls"... or as I call it "trial and error" as the local drillers won'T drill by PAP but just by setting the pin and wishing good luck.
My actual PAP I don't know yet adn my revs I dunno, too.
My Tsunami and H2O I will measure than and compared to the strenght of the Machine with the Tsunami (Machine is a tad stronger yet as smooth) layout the machine.
I will use the dual angle layout system and do all the work myself just to make sure I get the result I want.
My question now is:
What layout will work for a med speed med rev player (maybe even lower haven't measured) on a THS/ league patter.
Don't get my wrong I have a good arsenal but want the Machine to go a tad stronger and also more backend than my Tsunami.
My actual layout ideas are (in this format: Pin-PAP;Drilling Angle; Pin-PAP-VAL angle):
Long and strong: 4.5";75°;50°
more midlane and stronger: 3-4"; 50°;50°
Or should I just take my Tsunami... put the pin a tad higher and the MB a bit more right.
Pciture of my Tsunami I use now
Tsunami:
http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/59/5585759/400_6431336631666164.jpg- goes long with nice Midlane and has some pop in the backend
My H2O is drille with a tad higher pin and a tad shoert Pin/PAP and the MB is position also more right to create more backend and does exactly this:
goes a tad longer on a fresh pattern than my Tsunami with a bang on the backend.
On use lanes the ball skids not that much but shows a more arc reaction with still pop - this what I wanted.
My Tsunami is too waek imho right now on the backend - I want the machine to get the same midlane read with more pop on the backend to be use on more oil than my Tsunami
Thanks for any oppinion
and right; I am using Lane#1 right now but I had track balls - my former driller all messed up. Do I dumped then when I got my Tsunami. The best ball can't work with lousy layouts and missdrilled spans.. I have a new driller now but this one also drills not by PAP. (Germany... bowling in the "dark middle ages"
