No...I don't bowl on wooden lanes. They are synthetic, but they are a bit on the dry side. In Albuquerque, things have a habit of being on the dry side. In fact, what we would call medium oil, in most other places they would call light. And what we call flooded, would be medium. Somewhat like, but not as extreme, as Phoenix. With the exception of Silva Lanes that is, at least for the moment.
My first idea is to get my spare ball polished up really well, thinking that will help a little bit. My second task is to practice, practice, practice. Those combined should help. I'll have the weight hole drilled only if these other methods don't work. I do realize that the Flaming T is going to be a really labor intensive cleanup job after every session. That's not a bad thing, just a fact. I like it. A lot. But I think it's going to be more of an occasional use, for fun, to break a slump, sort of thing. Today I'm taking it in to be polished to get the track marks off, I hope. Still....it is a lot of fun to have that ball and was worth it regardless. But practically, my blue dot will still me my most used spare ball. AT least I'm set for spare balls for the next 20 years!
