In his 40th win WRW used the X-ception and looked awesome winning. It seemed to give him a tremendous response. Lately his has used the Aresenal line and has no fared as well (ie. not won his 41st).
I know that this is part of his contract with Track and that the different lanes require different equipment but can he be hurting his chances to win in order to flash the new balls.
I guess it goes back to the old adage --- If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
What are your thoughts?

Actually I have heard that Walter way independant right now, meaning he can throw whatever he wants to throw and I think it has been mentioned on here that he has thrown a couple of Morich stuff during qualifying weeks.

Walter is independant and throws anything he wants. He throws what he thinks will do him the best and gives him the best reaction. The PBA lanes are different every week and it takes a different ball to match up most of the time. I may use one ball for a couple of days and then can't use it at all the next day because of the change in the lanes.
I have thrown the arsenals and everyone will be very impressed when they get a chance to throw them. I went from 7 before leaving three stone 9s in a row the first game with the angular and front 9 before leaving the stone 7 the last game with the aggressive. They are most impressive and are quickly becoming my favorites.

I believe WRW has a TV contract with Track, meaning every time
he's on the show he throws Track product. As part of that contract,
he's free to throw whatever he'd like during the week prior to the show.

How can you say something like this, the ball or balls still got him to tv. Sometimes it is the bowler and not the ball. The bowled well, but if I remember correctly on a couple of shots, he fired 'em down the line, which caused the ball to go beyond the breakpoint.

Granted the balls got him there but they did not fare well during the TV portion (by WRW standards). I am sure anything short of a win is not acceptable for a champion such as WRW.
It might have been bad ball selection rather that being pinned to the newer releases. We will have to see the next time what he pulls out of his bag and how it works. Personally, I think he has been a great ambassador for the sport and look forward to him tying the record. Although, Mr. Anthony will still go down as the greatest of all time (We lefties got to stick together).

Does anyone ever think he picked the wrong shot to play or just threw the ball bad. I watched the show and he threw the first several shots very hard with no finger. When he slowed the ball down and rolled it it looked better. He also threw the fill ball with hook because the guys hooking the ball had the lane and the straight players didn't have a good look. The lanes change a lot with the lights and they practice on them for an hour before the show which can change the shot considerably.

I watched him on day one of the open and was throwing a wmb, lofting the gutter cap and bringing it back.I'm not a wrw fan , but man I have the most respect for his game.
-
I personally wish he'd go back and throw some Dyno Thane stuff... like the Thing Lives or Energy! Or even his 17 year old Element that he won several Tournaments with, with the SAME BALL!
Got to love that SOAKER coverstock!
