Rule with 1" pin
« on: November 10, 2004, 09:36:14 PM »
Hello all, I got a rule for my wife and it has a one inch pin. I know on the morpheous cores pin placement is not as big a deal but I was wandering if there is anything special I need to watch for other than the static wieghts. I believe the top wieght is also on the lower end also around 1 1/2 to 2 ounces. I want it set up for length. Any help appreciated as always.

Thanks, cooksey

A short pin with a low top weight should help you get the length you're looking for.
A drilling that I had on an X-Factor I had was a 1 1/2 to 2 inch pin with the pin next to the ring with the CG in the palm. This gave me length with a nice snap on the end. I was able to play the oil line with this drilling with little trouble.
 Hope this helps..................

cooksey, are you getting it drilled for length and alot of backend or length and a control reaction down the lane?

The 1 inch pin should be alright. More than likely after drilling the top/bottom weight will zero or it may have a little bit of bottom weight. This could help the ball roll early.

If I were drilling it I would not be overly concerned with ending statics on the ball. With the proper surface prep and layout the ball will be able to do what you want it to.
