Alex,
They do not overlap as far as reaction goes. If you have fresh backends the Xception will move a TON...but if you are on a longer pattern you would probably need to lightly sand the coverstock. The Slash will handle mediums and light heavies decently if you have the proper layout on the ball. A safer move would probably be to go with the Xception and the Freakazoid. The Freakazoid with some surface will cover the longer patterns nicely.....unless you do the most logical thing, which would be to get the Rule and the Xception. They compliment eachother well.
