Title: Freak a Zoid
Post by: sjslaber on February 08, 2005, 01:59:46 AM
My current go-to ball is a Freak a Zoid (shot 300 with it two weeks ago). I prefer equipment that arcs more so than skid/flip, for the control factor. I'd like to get something a little more aggressive before heading to Baton Rouge the end of March. Was thinking about a Rule??  Any thoughts/suggestions.

Appreciate the help.

The Rule is an awesome ball.  I got mine about a month ago and absolutly love it.  It fits what you are looking for as far as arcy.  Mine is drilled pin below the ring finger, CG in palm and MB about an inch right of the thumb.  Very controlled arc with plenty left for the pit.

sjslaber,

It would really depend exactly how much stronger of a ball you want. The Rule would be a good option....but the GP2 can handle a flood.

If you like the Freakazoid you should get the Arsenal aggressive. It has the Freakazoid core with a flip block to increase rg and diff for more hook.

Hey sjs,

We have a few pieces that are stronger then the Freakazoid.  Like Ex states, it depends on the amount of oil you want to match up to.  IMHO, you can go with a Rule or Arsenal (due out end of the month) for med heavy and a GP2 for floods.  This will cover the heavier side for you pretty well.

Any of our Morpheus cores or symmetrical balls (for that matter) can be drilled to arc vs snap so there's no worry there.  If you decide on a Rule, let us know and the Crew here will help with a layout.

Typically the Nats do not offer a shot with free hook or hold.  Your primary thoughts about arc vs snap will be the better way to go.  Hope this helps....
