Need some insite from my fellow Track Guru's
« on: February 07, 2005, 11:22:53 AM »
I have a buddy that's interested in getting an Xception and a Rule. The problem is, he throws a full roller. Are the morpheus core balls safe to drill for a full roller (pin at 7 o clock)? Any info or drilling suggestions greatly appreciated.

Yes, it is safe to do so. I had this discussion with Rick about a year ago. I have an old layout he sent me (if I can find it), and this ball moved more than any other ball I have seen a full roller throw.

Good luck in Baton Rouge. I can't go since I can't get the time off at work. I am bowling the PTQ Wednesday. Wish me luck.

I ended up drilling the Crash with pin below middle finger, cg abount 1/2" above the thumb.

Got another Xception today/ I think I'm gonna Drill it pin above the middle finger, MB left or below thumb.

Hey Rev-O,

Like Ex states, you can drill for full rollers on the Morpheus cores without a problem.  Only thing to remember is to watch where you place the mass bias.  I drilled a few of them and I kept the mb on the right side of the grip while keeping the pin on the left.  I drilled one with the mb on the same side as the pin and it rolled earlier.

There's also the max flare drill which places the pin 10 1/8 from grip center with mb at 3 3/8 from grip center.  This is an old layout though, I haven't tried this one yet on a Morpheus.  You might want to check with Brian or Del to make sure this is still a useable pattern on our core.  Hope this helps...

Good luck tomorrow and represent, the Crew's behind you bud.
