Title: Freak out
Post by: neb5482 on February 08, 2007, 02:51:18 AM
One of my favorite track balls ever. Mine has died from excessive use, and I would love to get my hand on another one. Anyone have an Idea where I can get one NIB?

NIB? No, I may know of a guy that has one he never uses though. I will check with him this evening if you would like and get back to you.

hat may be an option, the other thing I am interested in knowing, is what ball from the more recent stuff release would have a similar reaction? I have been told the exception 5.0 might be pretty close.

I would suggest messaging Carl (C-GProShop) or ClintDaley, even tenpinspro as they are more familiar with the comparisons. I would sau Pearl Particle cover, maybe the original Machine, but I could be wrong.

I think the 5.0 might be close, as they were both balls with a mass bias, even though they had different cores. I loved my freak out, I made $2700 one night with it. I know, for me personally, the Arsenal Angular reacted similar to the freak out. Good luck. If you find one, that's definetly a gem!!

I did some searching around on the track site and the arsenal angular was compareable to the freak out in a lot of areas. Does anyone else have a suggestion on which ball will be most similar to the freak out?

I agree 100% with the Arsenal Angular  being the closest. The Machine gives a similiar look upfront......but it does not corner FOR ME the way the FreakOut did.

Goodluck,
Carl

Hey neb, check out what Rev-O has to offer.  If it doesn't work out, I'd agree with my Tag Team partner on the Angular but you may have to alter the cover some to get it to push thru the heads like the Freak Out.  They both have the nice same strong backend reaction.  Hope this helps some...

Nothing to add really, other than to say that the Freak Out has been the best ball I've ever owned by miles, two (of four) 300's and both 800's with the Freak Out.

-----
Track I've owned:  Critical Mass, Synergy ETS, EMB, Freak Out, Xception, RuleGP2 - although the GP2 may be the one that makes me look elsewhere.  Great ball for about 15 games, then what a turd...
