Freak revisited
« on: January 21, 2004, 11:56:26 PM »
Well I am back to report again about my trials with the Freak.  I have polished it up and have tried it again on the lanes.  After trying to figure out this balls likes and dislikes I have come to the conclusion that this ball will stand up quick when it hits the dry and just wants to roll.

I finally found a line that it likes to be thrown and that is a pretty tight one.  If I tried to swing it it just won't hold rotation for any length of time like the Labyrinth will.  I high tight line is okay.  it just means I get to roll it in the oil to the pocket.

I will post a video of this ball when I get it downloaded for you to see if you want.

I have had a totally different experience with all three of mine that I have had.. (Yes I have had 3 different ones due to cracking)All three of them have been very versitile for me with their stock cover. Most of the houses that I shoot at have enough oil to make this my go to ball, but the differences in the pattern make me use the ball on different lines. Up the corner, the ball hits and drives well, inside and tight, the ball will hold the line and carry, inside/out, the ball turns over well and drives hard. It is very rare for me to find a ball that is so versitile that I can play just about any shot with it, but the Freak has been that ball.
