Here is a fun type of question that can get your mind going.  If you were going to pick one ball that you will drill 3 of them to add to an arsnal of 5 what ball would it be and why?

This will be the arsenal that it will belong too.

You can only choose 1 track ball from the current line to use for the 3 spots.  These balls can be drilled differently and cover changed.

On a side note, if one were to do this would it be better to use an asymmetrical ball or a symmetrical ball?

My choice would be the arsenal angular.  I would choose the angular because of it's versitility.  The angular if drilled weak and polished with delayed reaction can be used on light oil.  The angular can also be drilled strong to cover the med/heavy.  

I also feel that symmetrical balls would be better for this because you can manipulate the flare much better on symmetrical balls than you can on asymmetrical balls.  On asymmetrical balls pin positions of 3 3/8 to 6" from pap all flare the same amount.

I'd most likely go with the Slash. I've tried it with some Clean N' Polish on it and it is real smooth. After the Clean N' Polish has worn off, I'm starting to see the ball work great on Most Medium Patterns. Great benchmark ball in which the cover can be tweaked with ease.

Dull it down and it will cover most medium-heavy stuff.
Add some shine to it and it will help you get through the heads nicely without sacrificing hit.

Arsenal Aggressive.  In fact, I'd replace the GP2 and drill 4 of them.  One taken down to 800 grit, 2 box and 1 polished.

For me....naturally choosing just one is very difficult........

For the slots you have listed I would go with the Rule Delta 1. For under the GP2 I would leave one OOB.....for mediums I would drill it with the pin 5 inches from PAP and the MB just right of the thumb, surface would be Magic Shine. For under that ball I would drill one up with the pin 6- 6 1/2 inches from PAP above the middle finger and place the MB under my thumb. Delayed Reaction would be the surface I would use on that one.

Well, I have 3 Reactives and 3 Aggressives to fit between my 6 Gp2s and my Desert...so I guess either the Reactive or Aggressive for me.

I'm throwing both my Arsenal Reactives right now in competition 4.5x2.75 and 6x4 7/8.  These 2 balls are about 7-8 boards apart for me (D Pat saw it in action).  Guess one more in there with an in between drilling and cover adj. would cover that bill...

Hey Rick,

Can you tell me what reaction you get out of each of your ARs with those drillings and on what conditions you are using them on?  Does either ball work well with carrydown?  I'm trying to learn a little about the AR since I'm now considering it along with the Rotogrip RSP or Epic for my Xmas present from my wife (once I let her know, hehe).  Thanks
