if i had 2 of these balls drilled, one pin above bridge, cg kicked right, mb strong, and the other pin above ring, cg stacked mb strong...#1 being polished, #2 being at maybe 1000-1500, would there be enough difference between the two to have them both? let me know.

Even though you are altering the surface and the mass mass biases are in different spots, the 2 reactions *MAY* be too close to do so. I agree if you place the pin under the ring on the one with the strong mass bias will make the ball stand up quicker and smooth out the backend...I would also recommend having this one at the 1000-1500 as you suggested, which would make it even smoother and a little less backend. This would allow the stronger one to roll quicker and help you in some oil, and the one with the pin over the fingers, leave it polished and the mass bias stacked which will let the ball get down the lane better (pin above fingers=taller core=more length) and the mass bias being weaker than the first one will also let the ball down the lane, not to mention the factory surface polish will help as well.

Matt,

At that point you are going strictly by the surface difference.....PERSONALLY if I were going to have 2 of them I would drill them for the desired reactions AND adjust the surfaces accordingly. I love my 5.0's OOB finish so I have not been brave enough to change it, although another 5.0 could be in my future
