Good results yet again!
« on: October 27, 2005, 11:41:14 PM »
After closing the shop last night, some of the guys who work at the bowling alley and some others who showed up wanted to bowl some pot games....we all said sure! 5 person ladies team league bowled on the lanes before us, so the oil was moved around a little with some carrydown. The THS was out, not the usual Classic League shot I am used to. Pulled out the Aggressive for the first game....put 267 on them. Switched to my newly drilled GP2...259....switched to the Arsenal Reactive for game 3....279 (805). Stayed with the Reactive and went 236-244...finally lost a game with the 236...after winning 4 of 5, guys said one more for big money (instead of 5 we bowled for 20-thats big money for them)....I shot 300 with the Reactive...so...

267 (Aggressive)
259 (GP2)
279 (805)(Reactive)
236 (Reactive)
244 (Reactive)
300 (780) (1585) (Reactive)

264 average, 61 strikes in 71 tosses (86%)

My 10 misses were 5 10s, 2 7s, and 3 4-7s. I missed 2 10s.

The THS is WAAAAAAAAYYYY  easier than the Classic shot at my house...but still I was able to find 3 different lines with the 3 balls and put up good scores with each of them.

5 other guys...$5 a game for the first 5 games (so $25/game-won 4-lost one, so I was $95 ahead going intot he last game when we bowled for $20/game...so that one was worth $100...so $195 was my take!

Not too bad for a few games!

gotta love the old THS...anything works...sweet....oh, nice bowling by the way!!!

ps....what about the delta 1 ???

ps..ps....which ball "carries" the best....obviously on that condition they all did/do....but on other types of patterns....know you feel real strong about your gp2's....I shot 300 w/mine....but over-all do not think it's my best "carrying" ball for widespread condtions....

don't get me wrong....not talking about over-all versitility or throwing on shots not designed for....just plain old-fashioned carry....when throwing on the proper condtion from lane to lane????

Yo dude, nice shooting!
How do you the layouts look on these bad boys?
Specifically, do you find your Aggressive to be pretty smooth overall?

Thanks!

While the Delta has been a good ball for me, the few I have had tend to be touchy for me off the dry on the Classic shot....so....I have always leaned to particles since they were introduced as they smooth out the backend reaction they give, which is something I need for my game. The Arsenal Reactive has 3 qualities I normally do not like...a low rg, resin, and the drill I put on it. However, the low rg seems to be smoothing out the backend, so in essence, the 2 qualities are cancelling each other out. As for the drill put on it, I put a similar drill, put the pin just above the fingers instead of 2 inches above the fingers, on a Big Rig for the kid who works for me (Hammer sent him a few balls for free and is sort of on staff with them...but not really). IN the last 4 weeks, he has shot 2 300s in league with the Big Rig and 2 790 sets....so I put the drill on the Reactive as the characteristics are close (resin and low rg) and it works! Ball has awesome continuation and works well on both the THS and Classic League shot.

As for most versatile....I have to stick with the GP2...the high Rg helps me get the ball through the heads longer than most high end particle stuff.....like the Animal, Phenom, etc.

As for carry....they all mix the pins well! I really can't pick one over another RIGHT NOW....maybe once they have been used longer.

Sammy what does that mean about touching a nerve and trying other company's equipment?
