« on: February 08, 2005, 06:56:49 AM »
Hello there I am trying to get my arsenal set for JOG for those who know what it is I am only able to have 6 balls right now this is what i have
Guaranteed
Mutant
Mojo
Ice
Too Hot
Spare
have a ace just don't care for it

I love my mojo but I was thinking that I could use something else inbetween the mutant and ice that would be better I was maybe thinking the exception or a rule maybe shined a bit or something else please let me know what u think or what other storm balls would fit better I love storm and track and would like to have more in my arsenal like I use too.

In its day, the Mutant was one, if not the biggest, hooking early rolling ball out there. Big diff between the Mutant and Ice(assuming the Ebonite one). Both the original Rule and Xception will fit between them, just a matter of what you want the ball to do. The Goo on the Rule is more aggressive than the Goo LS on the Xception. The Rule will roll sooner, while the X will have LOTS of backend. Even a polished Rule will be more aggressive than the Xception, and have less backend.

Let us know,

Mike,

For between the Mutant and Ice (aside from the mojo)....a very good ball there would be the New Arsenal Angular Particle. DO NOT let the name of this ball scare you away, it will get up and go with some oil there. What I am thinking is that the Angular will give you different look from the other stuff you have listed. It will get length, but it will still roll earlier than other stuff in the "skid/snap" category. The Angular will roll a littler later than the Mojo, but will cover SEVERAL more boards in the backend of the lane. The more I throw it, the more I like it. I absolutely chews through carrydown when you can get it to a dry spot.

I hope this helps,
-EX-

PS- as Clint mentioned, the Rule would not be bad, but I would be concerned of it possibly ending up ABOVE your Mutant in oil handling ability.
