The GP2 is one ball I don't get to throw much because it's so strong. I've seen quite a few but I got a really good chance to see it last night in the hands of one of my good female friends (who has the ability to be one of the best females in the area if she applied herself at all). She has medium speed with medium revs (something like a Kim Terrel). She doesn't like to go away from the pocket much. She had the Xception but wanted something stronger so I recommended a GP2. She threw it last night for the first time and shoots 237 the first game. Left 2 9s and a 10. She was amazed at how much recovery she was getting. She finally decided to trust it with some belly. Next game, front 10. She left a 10 with a messenger that juts missed. 289. Ball just read so well and made a nice, hard continuous move downlane. Ball was a little too much the last game and she probably should have switched to the Xception but she still shot 198 for a nice 724 series.

GP2 is very strong, but I have seen lower rev players and higher ball speed have a lot of success with the GP2. I have been able to use it in league and on the longer regional patterns for the start. Very good on oil, just know when to switch to an Xception or Slash.

Just a follow up to this ball and female combo. She used it this past weekend in the TNBA Eastern Regional tournament and qualified 2nd (my wife outdistanced her to qualify 1st with a Freak-A-Zoid
). This female averaged 227 for the tournament. At one point, she shoots 248, 257, 300 for 805. That ball gave her so much room for carry. Light mixers, messengers, etc. The lanes were high scoring as getting to the pocket was pretty easy, but carry could be a problem. It was amazing to watch what that ball can do and how much power downlane it has.

Definately a ball that anyone can use. I believe the unfortunate thing about the GP2 is that people will shy away from it because it is particle.
They just don't understand that this ball is "different and special".

Yeah, we've got a couple of guys in league. One a classy righty, surprised me how good the ball recovers for a particle and the fact he is using it out of box on this little oil with softer speed. Really turns hits and carries!
The other guy is a terrible form lefty. He has a bunch of high games while throwing it awful! THis is one of the few times I've seen such a terrible form bowler look so good!
