Rule GP2 Drilling

I need a little help with drilling a new GP2.  I just got a GP2 16lbs with a 4 " pin.  I throw a high track with med to high RPMs.  I bought this ball with the intention to use it in a tounament where there is heavy oil gutter to gutter about 40 feet.

Any suggestions on setup would be greatly appreciated.

I would personally set the mass bias in mass bias position # 5 or #4, depending on how high your RPMs are, according to Track's drilling instructions. That gives you early roll which you will need for the 40' of oil gutter to gutter. I just drilled one of mine with the pin beside my ring, cg kicked out toward my PAP, and my mass bias on my VAL. I have yet to throw the ball, but I will get a chance tonight in my scratch league. With the pin that high, you should not thump over the fingers or thumb.
I am sure Ex and Ten will chime in with their suggestions as well, as they may have some insight I just am not thinking of right now.

Hey Dan,

Do you know your pap (positive axis point), this info would help us greatly in making an appropriate suggestion.  Placing the mb on or past val is what Clint is mentioning and that is good but we can be a little more specific if we knew your pap info.  We could also use this info to help place your pin distance as well, thanks.

Clint, not sure if our drill sheets are showing all 5 mb positionings yet.  Didn't want some of the guys to get confused.

You are right Rick, it only shows 3. I am so use to the laminated card I have in the pro shop that came with the Fast Track program which shows 5 different spots.

So much depends on your game bud. Clint is probably correct about the layout, HOWEVER if you are able to let us know more (such as your ball speed, PAP location, your revrate, your tilt and axis rotation) we will be able to help you out a little better.

Yep Clint was right I meet with my Pro shop.  He and I agreed with Clint.  I should have the ball tonight for league I will let you know how it turned out.

Well that ball can move!!!  I was standing 27/28 and thorwing 19/20.  I had to throw hard just to keep it right of the rack.  

Lane conditions were house pattern oil 35ft, fairly dry outside.  

This ball should work perfect for the tourney this weekend.
