Track Symmetrical vs Asymmetrical

I'm curious as to the different reactions everyone is getting out of these cores. When you find one core works better than the other and how many of each are you carrying in your current arsenal.

I have been bowling better with the Asymmetrical balls on sport shots and better with Symmetrical balls on the easier wall shots. Because of their versatility I am leaning toward carrying all Asymmetical balls and one 3 piece ball for dry lanes.

From being on staff, I have at least one of every ball in the line (and some disc as well) if not 2 or 3 and even 4 of a single ball. On looser shots, I migrate toward Asymmetrical. I have room for error, and asymmetricals do , for me, move more than symmetricals. I utilize symmetricals when crossing lanes, tourneys, or tight shots. They roll truer for me overall, and I can read the lane better that way and make better choices as I move. Not to say I NEVER use an Asymmetrical in a tourney, etc, but I will not hesitate to switch in a heartbeat!

Asymmetrical are my favorite by far. Being able to drill a particular ball for the reaction you want and not have that altered by drilling is awesome. Symmetrical for me, gives a smoother reaction over all.

My arsenal is set up based on the equipment and what it offers and the fact that a ball is symmetrical or asymmetrical has nothing to do with that. FYI---I have noticed that asymmetrical seems to cover more boards and give more of an area on the lane-----for me

Hey dw,

Interesting point but like Carl, I also just drill any asym to a desired reaction to the shot.  Agreed, asyms are stronger but can be controlled for a smoother reaction (like sym blocks) just as easily.

I'm still waiting for Track to put the Power Plus EX solid or pearl coverstock around that great Sheer Havoc/Assasin/Heat 2 core. Tired of these solid/pearl combination covers. USe solid or use pearl, but stop trying to provide the best of both worlds. (An all-weather tire is neither as good as a dry weather tire in the dry or a snow tire in the snow.)

I like the Crunchtime/Slash/Hex core but it is pretty early rolling and not as generic as the Heat 2 core.

The Freak-a-Zoid was a good attempt; like the cover. The core's RG is kind of low; needs too much smoothness from the cover.

Just my 2 cents.

May fool around with the Slash soon; seems promising.
