GP2 = POS
« on: October 03, 2005, 10:29:58 AM »
Tried it dull. Average hook, small backend, and poor hit. I polished it. Very little hook, no backend, and plastic like hit.

Would anyone like a 16# spherical paperweight?

How was it drilled and did you have any oil on the lane?

Drilled pin over ring, MB on Val, weighthole on PAP. Fresh oil, although not a flood.

I would be inclined to say that is your problem. Dull or polished, that ball needs lots of oil to work properly. Especially with the drill pattern you have on it. MB on VAL equates to early revs. The shot may be fresh, but is the oil thick enough? If not, that ball is burning up!!

I agree with these guys, dull or polished, it still needs enough oil to work properly, especially with the mass bias on or near the VAL as that translates to VERY EARLY roll.

However, I will also say, not every ball matches up well for every bowler. I NEVER had any luck with Storm, but does that mean they make a bad product....no.

I know many love their track products. I have had poor success with them. This ball is not burning up. In fact it is acting almost like a pearl resin. I'm getting more hook and better recovery as the lanes dry up. While the ball is flaring, It is not really reving up. It wants more axis rotation and revs. It does not match up to me at all. I think I'll stay away from these ultra high mass bias balls as they seem to be way to drill and bowler specific for me.

Long live symetric resin balls!

Anyone want this 16# gp2 for $40 shipped?
