Help build me an all Track arsenal
« on: May 23, 2005, 10:38:39 AM »
I'm looking to revamp my arsenal for next season. I've tried other companies, but nobody else gives me the same carry and reaction that Track does. I'm looking to build an all Track arsenal for this upcoming fall. I'm open to suggestions, because I'm not really sure what to get. I currently have a Hexplosion, and am looking to build either a 3 or 4 ball arsenal. Help me out, but this is just what I was thinking.

Heavy: GP2
Med-Heavy: Xception 5.0
Medium: Slash
Medium Light: Hexplosion.

Any other suggestions would be appreciated!

For medium light, you may need the Heat instead. The Heat will get through the heads better, although the Hexplosion will be a smoother ball overall.

I agree with the rest of your arsenal!

Clint,
You couldn't pry the Hexplosion from my hands...It's too good of a ball. I'm just wondering if it would overlap with the slash

I like everything you have listed there. NOW...many have not seen what I say, but I think the hexplosion is awesome on drier conditions. Even if drilled identical you should not see overlap between the hexplosion and Slash.

I'm probably going out on a limb here, but the GP2 really hasn't impressed me that much. In my opinion, I would suggest you try to find a Phenom or Animal, because they seemed like way better bowling balls than the GP2. other than that, the rest of the arsenal seems pretty good. Just my $0.02...take it for what it's worth!

TJF, that looks like a good 4 ball arsenal that should be able to cover the gammet of conditions. You may add another medium ball in there to give you a different look, say maybe a Rule or something.

BigWilly, you're definately in the minority there. The GP2 is an incredibly capable ball and extremely versatile as well. Even non Track fans have praised the ball's performance. On that note, I don't own one, but that doesn't mean I don't want one! I have an Animal that handles most oil I see, but there have been quite a few occasions where I could've used something a tad stronger; case in point, the GP2. You are entitled to your opinion, and this is mine.

My buddy shot an 811 this year with his Hexplosion, I know what you mean!

I have the same arsenal you suggest other than a Rule vs the 5.0 (I'm holding off until I get more info). The Slash and the Hexplosion are 2 of the best bargains in bowling. I bought both used and they have both become my favorite balls. (I still have 2 Animals and an Xception. I love the Animal played straight up the back but my Xception just goes too far down the lane with 18+ mph ball speed).

Go with exactly what you listed (have not tried the Heat)
