Title: gp2 what next?
Post by: YetAnotherTenPin on April 11, 2005, 05:50:20 AM
Picked up one sunday to replace my freak. The gp2 is extreemly impressive. You have to try damn hard to overthrow this ball. It definantly feels like a ball you have to pry out of the owners hand

My old lineup was:
- Freak
- Rev (skid/snap)
- Scout/R
- Blue Dot

New:
- Gp2
- ?? (Something to replace the rev, skid snap, thinking exception?)
- ?? - Something new to be non skid-snap like the scout/r tends to be, it reads dry it checks up.
- Scout/R
- Blue Dot

Suggestions?

New:
I would say Arsenal Angular to replace the Rev although the Xception is excellent to0.  I just was matching symmetrical to symmetrical since the Rev is symmetrical.
Below that would definately be a Heat.  It's not as skid/snap as a 3piece resin is, very controllable and would make a good jump down from the Angular.

You would then have GP2->Angular/Xception->Heat.  A good 3 balls arsenal with a variety of looks and covers.

In the position to fill in where your Rev was you have 2 choices from the current Track line that would fit there nicely: Either the Xception or the Arsenal Angular. The Angular tends to skid/snap, but it will check up a bit sooner than the Xception.

As for below that I like the Slash. It is not very skid/flip, it is relatively smooth throughout the entire lane. Overall it is a few boards less than the Arsenal Angular.

I would say the Xception would fit as you suggested.

The other spot I would suggest a FAZ/Slash/HexPlosion/new Heat. Any of these balls will fit the bill. More along the lines of what you want in that selection.

Thanks guys, will see about a aa/exception. The new heat is a must.

I would replace the scout and plastic if track offered anything *hint hint*
