Anyone tried out the Legion yet?
« on: July 19, 2015, 07:04:01 AM »
Since the Legion is getting ready to release this week, I wanted to see if anyone has already had a chance to bowl with it. Was really looking forward to picking this one up to use as a benchmark ball in a week or two. I read the BTM review and some of the comments on there weren't exactly positive about the Legion. But I do find reviews to be sometimes wrong and the ball ends up being fantastic to a lot of bowlers. With league starting next month, I'm hoping to get one punched up soon and get a few practice games with it.

From BTM's review, they do make it as if the ball rolls better once the surface is adjusted with a 4000 grit pad.

I to was excited about the Legion, until I read the BTM review.  I also came to realize that it is somewhat of a remake if the 811c/t,
Same core/numbers, but a different cover.  Hopefully, the second time around will be the charm as most of the guys I know who owned the 811c/t said it was a decent ball, but not a great ball.
I think I will wait for one to show up on ebay and let someone else take the upfront $200 hit on this one.

I had 805 with it first night out of the bag. It's fairly jumpy off the spot for me. I left it at box finish. It is a good ball to switch too when my warrior begins to burn up. I can go right back to the same spot.
