Amen, EX.

He is risen.  Alleluia.

Ok, that's as religious as you'll see me.  Please let's not turn this into an atheist/bible banger thread.

I don't understand why people steal equipment. How much money can you really make off of stealing that stuff if its already drilled? The risk-reward relationship just doesn't match up. If you're going to steal something, at least make sure its worth a few grand before you do it.

All you have to do is pay for plug and drill, and the stuff already comes in a bag.  Bowling balls are expensive (especially here in Canada), so stealing 6+ balls is at least $1000, and there's a bag, shoes, bowling accessories, etc.  The risk is huge if you get caught though....sigh....I don't get why some people steal equipment.  I wonder if they actually steal it, or if they accidentally take it.

EX, sorry to hear about your equipment being stolen...but since you're a Track Int. Amateur/Pro Shop Staff, doesn't that mean Track sends you balls every now and then (especially the newer releases)?  Can't you just ask them for more balls?  teeheheeh, LOL!

....but seriously, a cranker I bowl with at my Sunday morning sport shot league had his equipment stolen a few months ago.  He was talking about it to a few people, and I was just thinking about the prices and value of bowling equipment.  Stuff here's expensive...$400CAD for a high-performance ball including drilling and taxes, $320 for a medium-performance ball including drilling and taxes, and about $220 for a low-performance ball including drilling and taxes.  A six ball roller is well over $200, and high quality shoes are $220+.

Assuming 2 high performance, 2 mid-performance, 2 low-performance, a six-ball roller, some shoes and accessories, bowling equipment costs around $2000.

...just something that crossed my mind when the guy was talking about his equipment being stolen
