715T vs 919C

Assuming same drilling and same surface
Is one stronger than the other, I do know the characteristics are different
715 - earlier roll and the "T" back-end
919 - "C" movement, continuous....
 
thoughts?
 
starting the long pattern next week and have both balls

   They are real close in length... I would say if anything the 715T may go slightly longer than the 919C and I think the biggest reason for that is the bigger weight block that is in the 919C,etc. Most "C" balls dont come with surface though and this one does. As far as trying to decide on which one to buy if youre wanting to purchase one, Id go with the newer one(919C), it will retain a little more value, and I feel that the colors are even better on that one.
 

  Both look very good though so you cant go wrong with either ball.......... John

Between the two, I would go with the 919C.  I picked up a 919C recently and it is a good choice.  The ball easily clears the fronts but provides a really good midlane/backend read on fresh oil.  To compare, it is basically a stronger version of the 715T but with continuous motion.  The 919C seems to be more predictable than other stuff I've thrown on the fresh and you can easily use it up the boards or move deeper when needed to chase the oil line.

My 715t is pin in the finger and the 919c i had drilled pin just over the bridge
both are 5" pin-pap.
I also have a t-road solid that is a 4.5" pin-pap
We are on a 45' pattern that has medium volume, so I may even dull up the 505t for use later in the night.
I will probably do 4000 dull on these except maybe the 505t which I might do 2000
I guess it wont hurt to leave the 919 @ 3000 and see what happens.
Also im on the left side, so i wont have any help blowing the pattern open

If that is the case, have you thought about taking a ball you may not use and sandblasting it to 360 grit to "help" blow open your comfort zone during practice?  What I would suggest is taking something and sandblasting the cover.  Then use it up 5-6-7 boards to help create some bump roon for you.  If it is a longer pattern, this should create some hold area on pulled shots and if you the sanded cover takes up enough oil should create some area for you.  Your thoughts?

I hadn't really considered that.
I will get 7-8 shots on each lane at best, will this even do me any good...
I usually need a few to get my feet under me and at least one with the spare ball, not getting any younger these days.
Might be worth a try though
The other lefty in the league was on this shot last year, he is thinking with my higher rev rate, I may be able to play 15-12 and chase it in if need be.
Doesn't sound like this will be a high scoring pattern and it should favor those of us with some hand

i had my first look at the 44' long pattern last night
it was a more medium volume. 24.5 ml total 
i had the 715t which is pin just below my fingers @ 4000 dull
i had the 919c which is pin above my fingers at 2000 dull
 
I know the 715 is a stronger drilling than the 919, but i was surprised how weak the 919 was compared to the 715
it is a completely different look than i was expecting, very round and not as strong as i had hoped.
I did a 5" pin-pap on the 919 to control the last 10'.
It did turn out to be a great piece as i finished with 269, but i was hoping for a stronger pin up ball than my 715t
My 505t pin up @ 4000 was overall close to the 919, just a bit different motion
