Getting a new Power Machine-
« on: November 19, 2007, 09:02:24 PM »
it is used, but i'm going to plug it up. It isn't used too much, probably a 50 game max, but that doesn't matter, who says Track balls die?

Anyways, how should I lay it out now? My arsenal is in my profile, and so is my PAP. I'd like it to fit with any of the balls I already have. Maybe I should drill it to compliment the Equation^2? Because that ball has lately been a big push through the front, with an arc on the backend, no flip. So maybe I can drill the Power Machine to be again, clean through the fronts, but with a hard flip on the backend? How should I drill this?

Thanks in advance!

i thrive on  the p/m -- i just found one nib and im going to keep it for the future.  i have 2 others drilled. i would recomend a 3 3/8  x 3 3/8 drill. thats how i have one of them drilled, it will get down the lane and have a monster flip. note i thorw aprox 17-18 mph, and unless the lanes are flooded, this works great. the other is a bit weaker for when the lanes break down.

Brian,

I have a Machine drilled 4-1/2 x 4-1/2, pin over bridge.  Ball gets good length and a hard arc on the back.  I had the Power Machine, drilled 5 x 3.  I sold the PM, but still have the Machine and absolutely love it.  I use it on a second shift shot and it works great.  To get separation from your Equation^2, I would put the pin 4-1/2 to 5" from PAP with the MB 4-1/2" to 5" from PAP.

if you have any hand at all I would not drill it strong.I had one with a 41/2 pin to pap and it was too strong up front for me and left very little for the backend.sanded to 4000 grit and polished with delay reaction the cover still picked up strong in the mids, strong cover, drill it to skid/flip.maybe 5x5 over grips.
I have a mean machine drilled 41/2x4 and use for fresh med/heavy and it's been an awesome ball,I think the pm drilled the same and the cover knocked down the same would of given me the same reaction.
