GP2 600 grit with Clean and Dull??
« on: November 10, 2005, 11:35:08 AM »
I'm having my GP2 drilled with pin out right of ring finger, and CG kicked out, and resurfaced to 600 grit and hit with clean and dull. Just wondering if anyone has done similar to this. It's going to be my heavy oil ball, and wanted some input. thanks.

I have mine at 800 grit and I clean it with clean and dull. I have it for soup so, I want it really strong!

Hey, it might be slop but, it all looks the same on the scorecard!!!!!

SUggestion: Try it at its stock surface, 1200 grit, before changing it. You can always change it; find out what you're changing it from, first.

Mine has the pin above the ring finger but, it is a long pin so it is about an inch above the ring. The MB is on the right side of the thumb next to the thumb hole. The CG is kicked out and it has a weight hole! I guess becasue of the long pin, I can more than afford to sand it even more!!

I have a Rule GP2 drilled with the pin right of my ring finger, with the Mass Bias marker about 4" right of my thumb (out near my VAL).  It has an extra hole, and I clean it regularly with Clean and Dull.  I left the surface at 1200 grit, and this ball handles virtually any extremely heavy amount of oil that I see.  Along with Charlest, I would agree that it is best to try the ball at box finish first and then adjust from there as needed.
