Having more than enough balls to cover every oil pattern ...

the Heat Blast, Equation and the new Inertia still call to me.

Darn you, Dell Warren!

Rick and Carl don't help matters much either with their continual assistance to each and every question and query, explaining details til their fingertips want to fall off. Thanks a LOT, guys!

Each of the balls you listed are worth having. They cover the same conditions (basicallY) with their OOB surfaces....but each have a totally different look on the lanes.

About Rick and I....we appreciate any good comments and words from you folks!

I like the core of the Heat Blast.

I like the sound, what I hear of the cover of the Equation and I REALLY like its core.

Carl,

I'm shocked to hear that the polished solid particle mix of the "Peak" cover on the Inertia PLUS its mass bias core is "ONLY" as strong as the Equation???
Is the Equation's "new" coverstock with its new core, that strong?

The Inertia comes extremely polished....I think that is the difference. I know the Equation is polished but I think the Inertia has a slight more shine. Don't forget the Equation's core has a pretty low RG.

You will see my vids SOON......the Inertia with a stronger layout (earlier layout) is a touch longer than the Equation with a tad less backend.

I firmly believe if the surfaces were the same the Inertia would a bit stronger.

Is the Inertia really for Med/Heavy oil? Can it maybe take some carrydown as well?

OOB the Inertia FOR ME(and I hook the ball decently) is not for med/heavy......it is true medium.

Knowing what I do know about the Peak Particles and the Power Pack reactive....if you put some grit on it I think it would handle the lighter side of heavy very well. NATURALLY this depends on the layout chosen.

i guess alot has to do with layout since it is a mb ball vs. the equation. I have 3 equations, the one with the pin down at 1000 grit, even that ball got down the lane much much better than my inertia. I've only got to throw it once, so the lane condition had alot to do with it, but my inertia read the lane much sooner, and didn't have as much in the back. I'm sure on more head oil, the ball is a monster. Just too many factors in myself getting a different reaction in just throwing it the 1 time (lane conditon, layouts, and particle cover vs. resin).

Eric,

I mine drilled 3 3/4 pin from PAP 2 inches above my midline and MB is 4 inches from PAP.

My Equation by comparison is drilled for a later reaction.

Hate to say this Charlest, you "could" utilize these pieces.  The Heat Blast is smooth, the Equation is very clean with a stronger move on the back and I get a nice stable controlled look from my Inertia.  Even on your typically drier conditions that we have discussed you and FBM encounter on the east coast, these pieces are very useable.

PM cg matters, he loves his Heat Blast and I'd say his game (or overall hook) and conditions are similar to yours as well.

Guess what, Rick. I changed to a new house this year and this is what I saw last night:

It seems the house where I'll be bowling this year has much, MUCH more oil than my last season's house. Last night I had to use a "mild" solid particle (Legends New Standard, I added a light polish to it) and swing from 9 at the arrows to 5 at breakpoint, a dramatic difference from last year. Last year, at times, I used the 15 lb Solution PPEx and swung from 18 at the arrows out to 7/8 at the breakpoint!

heh...heh...heh....FINALLY you get to try and use some technology!  Okay, if you're using a New Standard to 5 board?..try the Inertia or even our Mean, you've ventured into decent oil.  PM sent with my cell...
