Might be, might not be.  Core looks the same, but the densities might be different.  Does Del or AMF own the rights to the Nighthawk core?  Who knows how the covers will compare?  It might be reworked a bit so it will hook on today's oil the same as the Nighthawk did a few years ago.

I wish they would reproduce exactly like they did the first time, the Evolution, Evolution Pearl, and Evolution "Extra"... These three balls would fill anyones arsenal.

If the Havoc's coverstock, which Track calls "Power Plus Solid ", is the same as the original Nighthawk, which used Columbia's SuperFLex, then I wonder
(Note the word, "wonder"!)
how Track can say this ball is for medium to light oil.

The original NH's surface was 1000 grit dull, whereas the Havoc's is 1500 grit. I suppose that could be the difference, but the NH, with that cover and this core, did then and will now easily cover medium to medium heavy oil patterns.

The Havoc is, of course, a much nicer looking ball and it's nice to have a verifiable choice again. PLUS I personally like that they have a good medium ball. (I wonder how it will compare to the Crunch. a tad stronger I'd guess.)

I was thinking the same thing Charlest.  The Power Plus Solid is probably what Columbia is calling Enhanced Superflex.  I would think it would be for at least medium if not med/heavy oil.  The M2 (pearl Nighthawk) is still my go to ball in leagues.  I can still cover plenty of boards in medium oil with it.

Like AUS Lefty said, sounds like a great ball no matter what the details are.

I agree!  I thought that revealing in a previous post that it is a very similar ball would be a plus as many loved the Nighthawk!  Me included.

Plus now one can get a good looking version of this ball!  This thing looks hot.

Note densities must be different as diff is a little lower at .43 versus .48 for original nighthawk!
