Crunch Time question.

Okay.  Who here has a Crunch Time and how well do you like it or how much do you hate it?  Let me know.  I need this thing for medium to drier lanes.  Thanks.

I don't have one personally, but my good friend that I bowl with every Tuesday night on league just got one about 3 weeks ago. So far so good. He has above average revs and ave/above average speed. The ball is drilled tame (sorry, don't know the drilling) He swings the ball and this ball comes pouring back to the pocket, left turn at times. Almost anything around the pocket carries with the exception of a stray 9 pin every now and then. He's been above average with it all 3 weeks on my league and the one time he's used it on his every other Sat. night league. We bowl on wood lanes with med-med/dry conditions and there are a few times when he struggles to keep in on the right side of the head pin. I know he's happy with the ball so far, and from what I've seen and the times I've thrown it, I've been impressed too. And hell, if it's good enough for Walter Ray, it should be good enough for us mortals too eh? =)

I would like to add my two cents and say that the crunch time(for me) is not for med-drier conditions.  my Crunch Time is my "go to" ball when the lanes get messy(carrydown, spotty etc.)

My Threat and polished Crunch works great on med-drier lanes because it doesnt over react when it hits the dry.  The Crunch Time makes a hard move when it hits the dry for me.

I love mine.  I agree with Mr. Track.  The cover may be too strong for drier lanes unless you have low revs (but your profile says above average revs).  It's an excellent medium ball.  Good length but with a strong, controllable backend.  Stronger finish than both the Crunch and Threat which are both smoother off friction.  If you want something for drier lanes, then the Dry Heat is a better choice.

Porkchop -  I am sure Rick (TenPinsPro) will chime in here soon.  He has one and he has drilled several others.  I have not personally thrown this ball but from what I have seen of Rick, he bowls on my team.  This ball gets really good length and has a strong smooth finish on the end.  Kinda hockey stick shape but smoother transition.  This ball does save energy and gets through the heads well.

Hey PC,

From earlier reviews stated, mine started up a lot sooner then expected
(rated 25?, hook) and had a strong arc to the pocket.  I agree with Anthony on the reactions, my Threat went longer and smoother for me.  I mentioned before that this ball drilled 5x3 pin split above fingers gave me a look of a stronger RevMaster(which I see you have).  Hope this info helps...and feel free to contact me directly(as Doc said, acting as my agent) if you need further info.
