I have had several track balls in the past. Some I liked, some I didn't. However, I think their current line is outstanding, and I would like to look at it more seriously.

The problem is that I don't have a clue how the Track stuff lines up with my current arsenal.
I have unintentionally ended up with a set of bowling balls that have an interesting property - they line up in pairs that move the same amount, just differently. What I mean is - two bowling balls that hook the same amount, but one goes long and sharp, one arcs.
What I probably need is something similar to my Vertigo, but shiny, since we drilled the vertigo more arc-y.

Here's my current stuff:
Brunswick Smash/R
Brunswick Speed Zone
Brunswick Inferno
Brunswick Nemesis
Brunswick Target Zone (spare ball)
RotoGrip Sonic X
Lane #1 black Cherry Bomb
Lane #1 Super Carbide Bomb
Storm original FireStorm
Storm Vertigo
Power Groove Dry/R
Original black hammer urethane

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hey Mumzie,

After reviewing your arsenal from what you posted here are my thoughts:

If you liked the X-Factor Vertigo I really believe you will like Track's Rule. I have thrown both of these balls and they are very similar as far as reaction goes. My thoughts on the Track balls you should look into if you are considering would be listed below:

Track Rule
Track X-Ception
Track Rule GP2
Track X-Ception 5.0
* if you believe these would hook too much for you and do not fit your style you can always go to step down to the mid-price plus or even mid-price stuff from Track like the following:
Track Arsenal Aggressive
Track Slash
Track Blue Heat
Track Heat
Track Desert Heat

This is just a thought of what I think you may enjoy, the staffers on here like Clint (ClintDaley), Carl (Excaliber), and Rick (Tenpinspro) would be able to help you even more. But the balls listed above are those that have really impressed me a whole lot. They also have two more to be released sometime in August, the Rule Delta 1 and Arsenal Reactive which I will be getting my hands on once they hit my pro shop. Hope this helps and God Bless!

mumzie,

The Vertigo is drilled to flip, but you want something that may go longer before it starts its move?

I just want to be clear on what you want before I make a suggestion.

I'm sorry - the vertigo is drilled to NOT snap. It's more of an overall arc. I hadn't had my first cup of coffee when I wrote that...

mumzie,

I tend to lean towards the Xception 5.0. It is an awesome ball and would fit nicely with the Vertigo-----------but a totally different look. I have mine drilled to arc, but it still moves strong off of the dry. I have been most successful using it on shorter sport patterns (opening the lane up), and it is a monster on a house shot.

Is this the type of reaction you are looking to go with the Vertigo, or are you looking for something else?

I agree with Ex, the 5.0 would probably do the trick for what you have mentioned. It is an awesome piece with lots to offer!
