Heat Blast

I know that it was R Allen throwing it, and not many of us can throw a ball like him...........but what were your thoughts on the ball after seeing it on TV?

Not sure what Ritchie's PAP is, but for me that would be about 6" from PAP!
Lot's of push! Rick mentioned that all 4 bowlers broke the middle part of the lanes down during their 20 minutes of practice.

Looked like Ritchie's ball cleared the middle part of the lane very nicely (Especially with the PIN placed under the middle finger).
We did not see extreme angles to the pocket today, but it made for an interesting show.

Looks like a cool ball and Ritchie made it look pretty good.
Hoping you guys will get yours soon so we can see a review.

Hey Carl and Ramy,

I watched the show and if you listened right, the Shark pattern has been the only pattern he has excelled on. I'm glad to see a fellow FASTTRACKER win a stop, I just hope he can learn how to excel on the other patterns. A good showing for Track yesterday! I guess here comes the Heat Blast for me...this is getting bad LOL! I can't stop buying new Track stuff!

Also Carl, I read your thread on the Blue Heat and I started talking to my teammate who's on Track's staff and he told me he also thought the Blue Heat was a very overlooked ball as well...guess I'll be getting one drilled up soon as well just to see how it looks. God Bless you guys and take care!

I would like to see someone with more movement throw the blast. Watching Richie throw the ball didnt do anything for me. Although he is a good bowler, I dont like his style and I dont like watching him bowl either. The color scheme of the blast looks sweet though.

it looked like the wrong choice in the first game; need a little stronger pin position for more backend flare, + thus hook. looked better in the 1st half of the 2nd game when he carried a lot of off-pocket hits. then he couldn't hold the line and went to the threat.

he tried to use the apparently most direct line to the pocket of the 4 bowlers.

off hand i'd say it was not quite the right ball or the right drlling for too much of his 2 matches, but i like the idea of the ball itself.

but don't forget that that core has a very low RG and a very high RG differential. one generally REQUIRES that type of drlling to play that type of line.

I don't think it looked that good, but he had a great line to the pocket. see my comments just above. he did a GREAT job of forcing it to work for him. That loft especially, he uses it to great advantage.

Didn't get to see the ball in action on TV, but ordered two of these big boys. Needed 2 balls for Medium oil, and I will drill one with a 4 x 0 and the other a 5x5 stacked and polish it. These balls should fit the GAP that I have right now - too many super-aggressive coverstock balls and not enough medium's.
