AR Surface
« on: January 19, 2006, 10:12:33 PM »
Ok, picked up a Arsenal Reactive and a Arsenal Aggresive.  In the OOB box on these two, am I going to see enough seperation between them, or am I going to need to hit the AR with a tad of polish?  I want the AR to fit between the AA and my Xception.  All three are drilled pin over ring.  The CG on the AA and the AR are kicked out to the right about an inch and the MB on the X is directly beside the thumb  (right).  What do you guys think?

Kyle,

OOB you could easily get more overall movement out of the Reactive than the Aggressive. The Reactive is going to backend more. I would say adding a slight bit of Magic Shine to the OOB surface of the Reactive will put it right in the slot that you want it to be.

I think Ex would be right in the long run, however, I am a big fan of trying the ball first to see what you get, then make surface adjustments afterwards. If you polish it right away, if you don't like it, you are going to have to hit it with something to get the shine off, plus, if it was factory surface, its very tough to duplicate that surface again.

Well, I had to plug the fingers on it, so it will probably get a light resurface anyways.  I'm going to try to work on it this weekend if they quit screwing around in the proshop so I can, lol.  Hopefully, in the next week, I want to have all of my equipment done so I can go practice and throw all of them at the same time to get the surfaces adjusted correctly on a couple of them and finalize my arsenal.
